    Dyfodol S4C

Mae colofn ardderchog gan Gwilym Owen yn Y Cymro. Mae e'n nodi bod yr Adran Diwylliant, Cyfryngau a Chwaraeon yn Llundain yn gyfrifol am S4C. Dydy S4C ddim yn annibynnol. Mae Gwilym yn anghytuno gyda'r cylchgrawn Barn y mis diwethaf. Mae e'n nodi hefyd does neb yn y Blaid Llafur sy eisiau cau S4C.

    Mae'n bwysig i ddiogeli'r sianel S4C, y 'brand' S4C, a chyllideb S4C hefyd. Ond mae'n bwysig i drafod pob syniad am ddyfodol S4C.

    For English version click below:

There's an excellent column by Gwilym Owen in Y Cymro. He points out that the Department of Culture, Media and Sport in London is responsible for S4C. S4C is not independent. Gwilym disagrees with last month's Barn magazine. He also points out that no-one in the Labour Party wants to close S4C.

It's important to defend S4C's channel, its brand and its budget. But it's important to discuss all the options on the future of S4C.
