    Return of Redwood

Michael Howard's decision last autumn to bring back John Redwood sparked a lot of entertainment in Wales, and provided an early pre-election boost for Welsh Labour. I've been looking for a link to John Redwood's most embarrassing Welsh moment, his pretence at singing Hen Wlad fy Nhadau, the Welsh National Anthem. The best I can find so far is this clip from the BBC's The Politics Show. If anyone knows how to edit video with Real Player, maybe I can get it down to just the Redwood episode.

Why don't you run a survery as to which was more embarassing: A Former full time Secretary of State for Wales who didn't know the words of the Welsh National Anthem or the current part time Secretary of State for Wales thinking that the War in Iraq was a "fringe issue"

Peter has made it clear that he was referring to the issue of Iraq being on the fringe agenda of the Labour conference, not that the issue itself was fringe.
