    Seventies' Progressive Rock

You may only understand this post if you are my age or thereabouts. Last night BBC4 had a feature on progressive rock bands of the '70s, notably Yes and Genesis. Apparently, there is a company in Quebec which specialises in recreating the famous Genesis conceptual stage-shows of the 1973-5 period. The company is named after 'The Musical Box' track on the Nursery Cryme album.

From 1973-5 I was in the sixth form, and I had both Yes and Genesis albums and saw the bands in concert.

Confession time - I even have a couple of their albums on CD and play them on the portable CD in the gym occasionally. Nostalgia ain't what it used to be.

Yes, I know it's not so much dad-rock as grand-dad-rock.
