Swansea Lib-Tory coalition and the BNP

Apparently the new Swansea Liberal-Tory administration includes a councillor who used BNP material in his election leaflets.

    The Western Mail says:

An eve-of-poll leaflet distributed by Swansea councillor Alan Robinson contained an attack on asylum seekers directly lifted from a leaflet distributed earlier by the BNP.

Apparently this guy chairs the council cabinet's advisory committee on the environment.

    The BBC confirms the story:

This section is identical to one that appears on a leaflet distributed in Swansea by the British National Party.

The BNP has confirmed the material was originally theirs.

Naz Malik, of the All Wales Ethnic Minority Association, told BBC Wales' Dragon's Eye programme: "I have never come across independent organisations putting material together that uses the same graphic, uses exactly the same photograph, structure, words and language.

"Not even a comma is changed."
