    Deepest Throat

One of my favourite movies is Alan Pakula's All the President's Men. This is the definitive political conspiracy story, of course, telling the inside story of Watergate. Apparently the papers of the Washington Post reporters played by Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman in the movie, Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, were sold to a university a few years ago and opened this week at a seminar, according to a fascinating blog by David Greenberg on Slate. Also this week brings sad news that the Watergate source 'Deep Throat' is allegedly close to death. Anyway, the Woodward and Bernstein papers give anyone interested enough to start on their own Watergate learning curve.
