New Wembley Bridge to be named after Scott Gibbs?

A bridge at the new Wembley stadium could have been named after Welsh rugby hero Scott Gibbs who scored the try that paved the way for Wales's victory over England in 1999.

The London Development Agency (LDA) has organised the poll to find a name for the bridge, no doubt expecting Geoff Hurst or the late Alf Ramsay to win.

But it is Scott Gibbs who is in the lead - so the LDA has decided to ignore the poll results! (Shades of Brecht: easier to dissolve the people and elect another).
