    Politicians get little sleep....

Apparently, politicians are one of the most sleep-deprived groups in the UK.

Research for the so-called Sleep Council (wouldn't be an alliance of bed or sleeping-pill manufacturers, would they?) says

the average politician gets by on just over five hours' sleep a night.

Only hospital doctors on-call averaged less shut eye - just 4.5 hours a night.

I can endorse the results of the survey.

Solicitors get the most sleep, apparently. Cue a lot of bad lawyer jokes, I guess.

Judge to defendant: " Have you got a lawyer?"
Defendant: " No your honour, I've decided to tell the truth!"
