    Prescription Charges

Today new regulations come in to force to ensure that only prescriptions issued by Welsh Local Health Boards or Welsh NHS Trusts will be eligible for the £4 prescription charges. All prescription charges are being abolished in Wales by 2007, and they have been reduced by £2 since May 2003.

Prescriptions are cheaper in Wales than in England because of our policy. Apparently they're worried about queues forming at the Severn Bridge as people with English prescriptions come here to get reduced price medicines!
