    Top TV Programmes

OK, it's summer. And the silly season. And Norm started it. Jo followed up.

    I'm with Norm on:

Have I Got News For You? (HIGNFY)
    House
    Six Feet Under
    The Sopranos
    24 (first series only)

    I would add:

    West Wing
    State of Play

Then, depending on how far back you want to go (HIGNFY goes back ten years plus):

    This Life
    Murder One (first series)
Between the Lines (first two series only)

But that probably means I should also include Our Friends in the North as well. Then there's cult TV:

    Carnivale
    Dark Skies
    Taken
    Cracker
    Whose Line is it Anyway
    Ultraviolet
And the most recent series of Dr Who.

Plus S4C's Llafur Cariad (a drama based on the history of Labour/Welsh politics from 1979-97, in Welsh). So I'm well over ten, even if I drop the 5 overlaps with Norm. And I could easily add more.

These are of course series and serials. That means you don't get to count the occasional one-off programme like BBC4's Basil D'Oliveira doc.

And they say there's nothing on telly?
