    Culture Minister visits Rhondda

Normally on Wednesdays I have committee meetings in the Assembly, but today there was a gap in the calendar. Assembly Culture Minister Alun Pugh AM, who is from Clydach Vale of course, was in the Rhondda today to visit Tylorstown Library. He is looking at the future of the library service and today is visiting libraries in Communities First areas. He is pictured here with me and local Councillor Robert Bevan.

In Tylorstown there is a suite of computers which local people may use for a range of activities, sending emails, designing posters and cards, creative writing, and digitizing old family photographs.

This is Tylorstown resident Marlene Rogers putting together a poster for the local Friends of the Earth group.
