    Duck-driving in Ferndale

We don't often see duck-driving in Ferndale, or the Rhondda as a whole. Saturday's Ferndale Town Festival started off in great sunshine, though we didn't quite need the sun-screen John Asquith suggested!

Congratulations to John - pictured here at the start of the Festival - and everyone else who made the Festival work, and let's hope it happens again next year. What was particularly good about the Festival was the range of activities on offer, from the climbing wall to the displays falconry and duck-driving, as well as the wide range of stalls sellling different products.

Darren Park provided a wonderful backdrop for the Festival. Here you can see Ferndale councillors Ceri Jones and Annette Davies, along with Annette's nephew enjoying the event. Here's to next year.
