Is the Bush era over?
E.J.Dionne, normally the most careful of the Democrat-inclined commentators, now thinks the Bush era is over.
Normally I ignore the over-optimistic tendencies of the American liberal-left, because they have been proved wrong so often in their predictions of Republican demise, but Dionne is smart. He says of Bush in the Washington Post:
His policies are failing, his approach to leadership is detached and self-indulgent, his way of politics has produced a divided, angry and dysfunctional public square.
Worth reading.
