Pen Pych
Between Christmas and New Year we climbed Pen Pych, described by the Post Office in its 2004 series of stamps as one of the 6 wonders of Wales, and one of the few flat-topped mountains in Europe.
It was a cold morning, but we walked to the top before the snow came down. The waterfalls looked stunning, and as you can see from my pictures, there were long icycles hanging down.
Down below us we could just make out the village of Blaencwm through the mist.
If I hadn't banned myself from entering the Rhondda Leader's photographic competition, I would have sent some of my pictures in for next year's Rhondda Calendar!
