    New Assembly Powers

The National Assembly which is elected in 2007 will have stronger powers and be able to act more swiftly in the interest of the people of Wales, following the passage of the Government of Wales Bill yesterday.

The Bill was based on the White Paper Better Governance for Wales. It will make for a more focused and better Assembly, as I have argued before.
