    Well done, Tessa Jowell

Cardiff City will be able to continue to use the terraces for fans to stand next season, thanks to a decision by Labour's UK Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, Tessa Jowell:

Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport Tessa Jowell has granted the 12-month extension after being satisfied the Bluebirds' plans for a new stadium are progressing at an adequate rate and the club will, in time, be moving to a new venue.

After 3 years in the Championship, clubs are normally required to have all-seater stadiums. Progress on the new stadium is cited as a reason why the exemption has been given.
