    Penrhys Surgery Saved!

I am delighted that the Penrhys Surgery has been saved. As I mentioned below, I took this up with the Local Health Board when I met them two weeks ago.

I mentioned the excellent campaign run by Penrhys residents in the National Assembly last week, saying it was a good example of a community coming together to defend its services.

The surgery is important to the life of the community in Penrhys. It has a lot of patients and is clearly sustainable. I think the LHB should see whether it is possible to extend and enhance the service available to residents in Penrhys.

I spoke up in support of the surgery at a well-attended meeting in Llanfair Church in Penrhys on September 22nd, along with local Councillors Robert Bevan and Mark Adams, convened by the Penrhys Community Action Group and chaired by Wayne Carter from the Penrhys Partnership. The Action Group collected over 400 signatures on a petition to keep the surgery
