Communities First - the next phase

I was delighted to be given the responsibility for the Assembly's Communities First programme when Rhodri appointed me Deputy Minister for Regeneration in the summer.



Last week, I visited one of the new areas which will be joining the programme in due course, Sarn in Janice Gregory's Ogmore constituency. The Sarn Community Centre boasts a wide range of community organisations, including a Credit Union with 3500 members. Janice and the manager of the Credit Union gave me the fullbackground.
