The man who put the 'pop' in the Pop Factory

I meant to blog this last week. The Rhondda Leader had a good feature on William Evans, who created the soft drinks factory in the Rhondda - the Welsh Hills works - which is now of course the concert venue and Avanti's production base, The Pop Factory.

I remember the Corona lorries delivering 'pop' when I was a kid growing up in Barry. But I never knew why the name had been chosen before.
