    Black Watch

I am delighted that we have been able to fund the first visit of the National Theatre of Scotland to Wales through the Heads of the Valleys programme. Their acclaimed production Black Watch can only be seen in Wales in Ebbw Vale from 15th to 17th May. Black Watch is based on interviews conducted by playwright Gregory Burke with former soldiers who served in Iraq.
Box Office details for Ebbw Vale are here.
This is a rare opportunity for people to see internationally-acclaimed theatre in this part of the heads of the Valleys, while also bringing outside audiences to the area. Part of what we are doing with the Heads of the Valleys programme is changing perceptions and stereotyped images, and I hope this wll contribute to that objective.
