Did Boris Johnson ever learn Welsh?
The Western Wail today ran a story from its archive - not on its website unfortunately - which reminded us that in February 1995 the 31 year-old Boris Johnson was selected as Conservative candidate for Clwyd South.
The article said:
While not a Welsh speaker, he intended to take lessons so that he could at least hold a conversation in Welsh.
So, did he? Anyone out there ever had a conversation with Boris in Welsh?
