Iraq election results
I notice that the Iraq election turnout was not far behind the turnout in the 2001 UK general election - and exceeded the turnout in the 2003 Welsh General Election for the National Assembly.
That should make it hard for most to challenge its legitimacy then.
But I guess some will....

You're just going to ignore the fact that the Sunnis, 20% of the population, didn't vote, then? The turnout was 2% in one of the 18 provinces.
If we had elections in Britain, and nobody north of Manchester voted, I think they'd be some people questioning the results ;)
It is clear that a lot of Sunnis did not vote, and that is disappointing. But some did, and there will be some Sunni representatives in the Parliament. I hope that there will be efforts made to reach out to other Sunni representatives.
