    Science Awards

This morning I was in Tylorstown Sports Centre giving out certificates to primary schools in RCT who have participated in the Education Business Partnership's science initiative. This supports science after school clubs in local schools, and children get certificates for their participation in their science clubs. 25% of the UK's total number of gold awards went to pupils in RCT, and it is makinga difference in terms of sparking interest in sciene amongst young people, and participation and attainment levels. Lloyds TSB sponsored the event and awards.
