Young People and Opera
The Welsh National Opera runs a schools scheme with RCT Cultural Services which has led to 150 pupils in schools in RCT creating a new opera, based on Mozart's Magic Flute, with professional singers, musicians, librettists and composers from WNO. I was at the production, Magic Voices, when it was premiered today in the Parc and Dare in Treorchy. It was a fabulous show, very well produced and performed, with the young people well-integrated with the professional singers.
