    Life on Mars

The BBC's Life on Mars is another success from the BBC Wales drama department following hot on the heels of Dr Who.

When it started my mate Phil pointed out how all dramas set in the 1970s usually had a backdrop of the best music of the era, not the commercial crap you would actually have heard on the jukebox had you gone into a pub in 1973. In other words, in a 70s-set TV series you get Led Zeppelin, not The Sweet.

This Monday's episode gave us The Sweet: 'Ballroom Blitz'. I guess that's authenticity.
