    Vodafone Mast, Ynyshir

I have been supporting the community of Ynyshir in its campaign over Vodafone proposals for a mobile phone mast for over a year. I was astounded that their latest proposal involved a two-week consultation encompassing the Christmas and New Year Period.

Residents of Ynyshir have been in contact with me about the latest proposed site. Vodafone sent out a letter on 20 December announcing a two-week consultation starting on that date. That consultation ended last Tuesday, January 3rd.

I am astounded at the cynical and devious approach being adopted by Vodafone in undertaking a two-week consultation over the Christmas and New Year period. This is the worst possible time for any community consultation and it does not demonstrate any real commitment to listening to community views.
