    Unison Campaign

I recently met with local Unison Members at the National Assembly to hear their concerns about the Local Government Pension Scheme.

Understandably local government workers want to protect their pension arrangements. I want to see a fair pension system in place and public service workers being treated equally. Every other reformed public sector pension scheme now has protection of original retirement age and
    benefits for existing members.

Unison members from all over Wales came to the National Assembly to lobby Assembly Members. I was able to discuss the pensions issue with Unison's Wales Regional Secretary Paul O'Shea and Regional Convenor Bill King, as well as local members.
