    Blaenclydach School

First Minister Rhodri Morgan has told me that a decision on the future of Blaenclydach School should be taken by 7 April. I have passed this news on to the parents I met when they lobbied the Assembly on 14 February.

I wrote to Ministers to support the parents' campaign against the closure of the school. The First Minister has assured me that any new points raised in my letter will be considered alongside the other objections. I made the point in my letter that there were new factors which could influence the numbers of pupils likely to attend the school, such as the new housing development at Parc Gellifaelog (Pugh's Farm).
