Dr Who and the Tarbisodes
I went to the preview tonight for Dr Who at the Wales Millennium Centre. Cracking first episode of the new series - and highlights suggest another strong season.
It's a tribute to BBC Wales under Menna Richards, and the success of their drama department: not only Dr Who, but also Life on Mars and of course last week's one-off, The Chatterley Affair.
By the way, there was a stunning quote from Welsh Tory leader Nick Bourne tonight: 'It's the highlight of my life: I've just been recognised by a Dalek.'
Actually, I have to confess that the same Dalek - should that be Dai-lek? - confronted me by name when I tried to take a picture of it. As someone who remembers when the Daleks came to Cardiff in the 60s, that's one for the scrapbook....And check out the old blog for the first series, here and here and here.
And apparently, there will be very short episodes - Tarbisodes (ie Tardis mobisodes) - of Dr Who - to download to your mobile phone.
