Academics change tune
In an article in the Institute of Welsh Affairs magazine, Agenda, in Winter 2007, Roger Scully and Richard Wyn Jones of Aberystwyth University said a 'bad-but not dreadful' result for Labour in the 2007 Assembly elections would be 25 seats.
We got 26.
Today they are quoted in the Western Mail as saying our result was lousy.
There are lots of issues raised by our election campaign, as my colleague Huw Lewis has said, which will no doubt be dealt with by the party's own internal review, into which many of us have fed our views.
But some people seem to have short memories of their own forecasts.
